Sandra Luthringer, RD, has recently embarked in a new business – Super Suppers! After almost 25 years as a dietitian in a clinical setting, Sandy made the move to entrepreneurship by opening up her own business and bringing a new industry to the Erie area.

With over 20 years in oncology nutrition, Sandy felt that her 'job was done.' She was at the top of her game, having written several chapters on oncology nutrition for various textbooks, editing her own book, which continues to sell well to medical schools and oncology dietitians and nurses, and serving on the advisory boards for many national organizations and speakers’ bureaus. A new challenge was calling her!  The meal assembly business is one of the fastest growing industries in America, and Super Suppers is one of the largest franchises, with over 240 stores open across the country. Super Suppers answers the age-old question, "What's for Dinner?" In today's busy environment, people just don't have the time to get healthy dinners on the table each night. With the amount of meals eaten outside the home rising dramatically over the years, we have seen an explosion in childhood obesity, diabetes and other weight related problems. Helping families get healthful meals in a hurry and getting families back to the dinner table may be the answer.

Sandy is the only dietitian who also owns a franchise. The corporation headquarters is located in Fort Worth Texas and they have a registered dietetic technician on staff who assists with the menu analysis and nutrition labels. 

Sandy's next goal is to become part of the corporate team as a staff dietitian...helping to educate customers of Super Suppers stores across the country as well as the other franchise owners. She has been pitching ideas to the corporate team since opening her store. The possibilities are endless! We wish her luck!
